July 7, 2014 - The fatal shooting of man at 724 Greens about 12:15 p.m. on Saturday (July 5) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.

The identity of the male victim is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Semmelrock and Senior Police Officer M. Stahlin reported:

The barber shop owner at the above address and the victim became involved in a verbal altercation when the victim refused to leave the business.  The victim then threatened the shop owner, who in fear of his life, shot the victim.  The shop owner remained at the scene and called 9-1-1.  The victim was transported to Houston Northwest Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
