July 2, 2014 - Houston police have learned the identity of a man fatally shot at 4949 West 34th Street about 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday (July 1).

The victim, identified as Marcus D. Celestine, 43, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants T. Pool and W. Elsbury reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call in the parking lot of the Texas Parole Division at the above address.  Upon arrival, they found Mr. Celestine deceased.  The unknown suspect fled the scene as a passenger in a white sedan.

Further investigation determined Celestine had met with his parole officer just prior to the shooting.
