January 15, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 9200 Bellaire Boulevard about 9:55 a.m. today (Wednesday, Jan. 15).

The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant  G. Hall and Officer D. Hussain reported:

The victim was walking southbound, across the eastbound lanes of Bellaire, when he was struck by a white Toyota Camry.  The driver of the Camry remained at the scene.  Initially, witnesses identified a second vehicle as possibly being involved in the accident.  That vehicle was located and there is no indication, at this time, it struck the victim.  

There are no charges in this incident and the investigation is continuing.
