January 09, 2014 - Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of a female and the wounding of a male at 7311 Curry about 12:30 a.m. on June 27, 2012.
The suspect, Jacob Brown (b/m, DOB: 4-15-85), is charged with capital murder in the 183rd State District Court. A photo of of Brown is attached to this news release.
The female victim, Titisha Denise Williams, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene. The male victim, Damon McClain, 33, was tranported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant L. Chandler and R. Rogriguez, Senior Police Officer J. Johnston and Officer M. Burrow reported:
Officers responded to a shooting at an apartment complex on 7311 Curry and found Ms. Williams and Mr. McClain shot in the front seat of Williams' car. The suspects, described only as two black males, wearing bandanas and dark clothing, demanded money from the victims before shooting them multiple times. The suspects then fled on foot in an unknown direction.
Extensive investigation developed information that identified Brown as a suspect in this case. On Tuesday (Jan. 7), Brown was charged with capital murder in this case. He was already in the Harris County Jail on unrelated robbery charges.
