January 06, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 2500 block of Swift about 9:30 p.m. last Thursday (Jan. 2).    

The victim, 55, a pedestrian, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead last Friday (Jan. 3).  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Roberts reported:  

The victim was crossing the street at the above address when he was struck by a gray Toyota Corolla.  HFD paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital.  The driver of the Corolla remained at the scene.  

The investigation is continuing.
