February 3, 2014 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man found after a fire was extinguished at 3904 Erby about 11:30 p.m. last Friday (Jan. 31).
The male, Robert Martin, 75, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Officers T. S. Miller and S. Overstreet reported:
Residents of the mobile home community at the above address called HFD regarding a house fire. HFD personnel arrived and found a mobile home engulfed in flames. Witnesses reported a person was still inside the home. Firefighters extinguished the fire and, shortly after entering the home, found Mr. Martin deceased near the front door.
There were no immediate signs of foul play.
The investigation is pending Martin's cause of death, to be determined by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
