December 29, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 9700 East Hardy service road about 12:20 p.m. today (Dec. 29).

The male victim, 39, was transported to Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Kung and Officer B. Mark reported:

The victim was driving a tractor-trailer when he failed to maintain a single lane and struck the concrete wall. An autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences will determine cause of death, which may be related to a medical issue.

The investigation is continuing.
