December 16, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 11100 Fondren about 2:30 p.m. on Monday (Dec. 15).

The identity of the deceased female victim, 58, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Arnold and Officer B. Mark reported:

The victim was walking in the roadway and failed to yield the right of way to the driver of a white Toyota Camry that struck her. Paramedics transported the woman to Ben Taub General Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. The driver was questioned and released with no charges filed.
