December 8, 2014 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a male found at 5700 Old Spanish Trail about 11:45 p.m. on Sunday (December 7).

The deceased male's identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Simmons and Officer M. Dykens reported:

The male and a friend were crossing Brays Bayou on an abandoned pipeline bridge. At some point, the male fell off the bridge and into the bayou. The friend went to the water's edge, but was unable to find the male.

HPD Dive Team officers responded to the scene and, after a brief search, recovered the male's body.
