December 8, 2014 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman at 2400 South Loop West about 6 a.m. last Friday (Dec. 5).

The victim, Angelina Romero-Alvarez, 50, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant H. Chavez and Officer R. Lujan reported:

Ms. Romero-Alvarez was about to get into her vehicle in the parking lot of the Wilcox Apartments when she was approached by an unknown suspect(s). At some point as she stood outside her vehicle, Romero-Alvarez was shot. At this time, it is unknown if she was robbed. Witnesses reported seeing an unknown vehicle driving away from the scene.

There is no known motive or suspect(s) in the shooting.
