August 26, 2014 - Houston police are investigating the fatal traffic accident at 9200 Chimney Rock about 6:25 a.m. today (August 26).
The identity of the female victim is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Hall oand Officer J. Perrotte reported:
The victim was driving a black BMW 325 westbound on North Braeswood when she ran a red light at the intersection at Chimney Rock. The driver of a black Ford Excursion was driving northbound on Chimney Rock with a green light when he struck the BMV on the driver's side. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and her infant was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The driver of the Excursion was also transported to Memorial Hermann Hosptial for non life-threatening injuries.
