Fatal Traffic Accident at 5200 East Freeway
April 21, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 5200 East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10) about 10:40 a.m. today.
The male pedestrian, 20, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer J. Perrote reported:
An International tractor-trailer truck was traveling westbound on the East Freeway when a male pedestrian ran across the freeway and was struck by the truck. HFD paramedics transported the male to the hospital where he died.
