April 14, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 6800 East Orem about 9 p.m. on Saturday (April 12).
The identity of the male victim, 24, is pending notification to family members by the Harris Count of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Roberts and Officer Y. Haq reported:
The victim was operating at maroon Suzuki motorcycle westbound on East Orem at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his motorcycle at the crest of the bridge at East Mykawa. The motorcycle struck the guardrail and the victim was ejected. He was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
There were no other vehicles involved in this accident nor witnesses.
