September 24, 2013 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman at 1101 Hogan about 10:50 p.m. on Monday (Sept. 23).

The woman suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.  Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Parker and Senior Police Officer S. Straughter reported:

The male suspect and a witness were arguing in a bar at the above address when the victim attempted to intervene.  The suspect then shot her and fled the scene.
