September 10, 2013 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 10615 Beechnut about 1 a.m. today (Sept. 10).

The shooting victim, 54, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant E. Cisneros and Senior Police Officer H. Chavez reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a reported shooting at the above address and found the victim lying in an apartment alley.  Houston Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene where they pronounced him dead.  

There is no known motive nor suspect(s) at this time.
