September 10, 2013 - Houston police are investigating the death of a man at 13420 Hempstead Highway about 11:05 p.m. on Monday (Sept. 9).

The victim, Marco Aurelio Rodriguez, 33, of Houston was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers T. Miller and R. Nunez reported:

Mr. Rodriguez was operating a small forklift at the above address and moving a metal hopper containing scrap metal across the yard.  As he drove across the yard the forklift fell over the edge of a draining area and ejected him.  The forklift then landed on top of Rodriguez, killing him.
