November 26, 2013 - Houston Police Chief Charles A. McClelland, Jr. and some members of his command staff helped serve more than 100 Thanksgiving meals to some of the city's most neediest citizens on Monday night (Nov. 25).
The Chief called serving those in need very rewarding and says the main message during this holiday season and year-round is to give back and to give to those less fortunate.
Chief McClelland and members of the HPD Community Outreach Unit joined volunteers to serve pre-holiday meals with all the trimmings at the Turning Point Center, a homeless outreach shelter in northwest Houston.
A photo of Chief McClelland serving the meals is attached to this news release.
