November 26, 2013 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in a fatal traffic accident at 12600 Westheimer about 1:25 a.m. on Monday (Nov. 25).

The suspect, Benjamin O. Onyeforo (b/m, DOB: 6-7-70), is charged with intoxication manslaughter in the 263rd State District Court.  A photo of suspect Onyeforo is attached to this news release.  

The identity of the deceased male victim, 24, is pending verification by the Harris County Insitute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Roberts and Officer L. Galvan reported:

The suspect was driving a black Honda Civic eastbound on Westheimer and the victim was driving a purple Toyota Scion northbound on Dairy Ashford.  The suspect failed to stop at the red light and struck the Scion, causing the Scion to spin around and strike a third vehicle.  The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  No one else was injured.

The suspect exhibited signs of intoxication and was arrested and charged.
