November 25, 2013 - The fatal shooting of a juvenile male at 6120 Bellaire Boulevard about 7:55 p.m. on Saturday (Nov. 23) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.

The identity of the victim, 16, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Sturdivant ant Officer R. Olive reported:

The victim and a female friend, 15, were playing with a .45-caliber pistol when the gun accidentally went off and struck the victim one time in the chest.  The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  The female was not injured.
