November 25, 2013 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 12700 Gulf Freeway (Interstate Highway 45 South) about 2:50 a.m. on Sunday (Nov. 24).

The identity of the deceased male victim, 24, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant B. Rogers and Officer M. Waggoner reported:

The driver of a wrecker truck was exiting the Gulf Freeway northbound at Fuqua when he struck a pedestrian attempting to walk across the exit ramp to the service road.  The driver was questioned, did not exhibit any signs of impairment and was released.
