May 28, 2013 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 6600 Griggs about 12:10 a.m. on Saturday (May 25).

The male victim, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Tapia and Officer J. Best reported:

The victim was driving a red Ford F-150 pickup truck westbound at a high rate of speed in the 6600 block of Griggs when he failed to maintain a single lane and lost control of the vehicle.  He was then ejected from the vehicle during the resulting crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. No other persons nor vehicles were involved in this accident.
