May 15, 2013 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 12419 Newbrook about 11 a.m. on Tuesday (May 14).

The identity of the victim, 39, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant H. Garcia and Officers C. Cardenas and I. Duplechain reported:

Officers responded to a call of a male found lying on the floor just inside the front door of his residence at the above address.  Paramedics arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene.  He had been shot more than one time.
