Investigaton into Man Found Fatally Shot at 3600 South Loop West

March 25, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 3600 South Loop West (South Interstate Highway 610 West) about 4:40 p.m. on Sunday (March 24). 

The victim, 16 to 20 years of age, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. 

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers M. Khan and C. Scales reported: 

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address.  A Galveston EMS ambulance was flagged down for help by two unknown male suspects.  The ambulance pulled over to the shoulder of the freeway and the suspects pulled in behind them.  The suspects then pulled the victim from the back seat of their vehicle, a small black sport utility vehicle, and put him on the grass.  As Galveston emergency personnel treated the victim, the suspects fled the scene in their vehicle.  HFD paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the victim to the hospital where he died. 

The suspects are described only as two black males, 18 to 22 years of age.
