March 15, 2012 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 100 block of the North Sam Houston Parkway West about 9 a.m. today (March 15). 

The male victim, age unknown, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Insititute of Forensic Sciences. 

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Hall and Senior Police Officer D. Schlicter reported: 

The victim was operating a black Honda motorcycle at a high rate of speed eastbound on the North Sam Houston Parkway ramp to the North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45).  The motorcycle struck an outside retaining wall, causing the victim to be ejected and fall to the ground below.  He died at the scene. 

No other vehicles were involved in this accident.
