March 11, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and woman in an apparent murder-suicide at 1023 Defender about 10:45 p.m. Sunday (March 10).

The female victim, Lashandra Washington, 34, and the suspect, Sharman Ford, 33, both of the above address, suffered gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Officers K. Lopez Meek and V. McLean reported:

Officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found the man and woman shot inside a bedroom of the residence.  Houston Fire Department personnel responded and pronounced them deceased.  Preliminary evidence indicates an apparent murder-suicide.

The investigation is continuing.
