June 19, 2013 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results on human remains found at 9700 North Green River about 4:15 p.m.on Monday (June 17).

The identity and cause of death of the victim are pending an autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants T. Richardson and R. Torres reported:

A passerby riding a four-wheeled all-terrain vehicle in the wooded area of Brock Park at the above address saw what appeared to be parts of a human protruding from a carpet that was secured with duct tape.

At this time, there are no known witnesses to determine how long the remains had been there.
