July 15, 2013 - Houston police are investigating the death of a man found at 1002 Westheimer about 4:10 a.m. today (July 15).

The identity of the victim, 44, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensice Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers M. Miller and T. Miller reported:

The victim pulled into the Burger King parking lot at the above address and remained in his vehicle.  He was later discovered by a witness passing by who notified both HPD and the Houston Fire Dpeartment.  The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, having suffered an apparent gun shot wound to the head.
