July 9, 2013 - Houston police have learned the identity of a man found fatally shot at 720 West Mount Houston about 1:20 a.m. on Monday (July 8).

The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences has identified the victim as David Aaron Amaya, 40. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Blain and Senior Police Officer M. Condon reported:

Mr. Amaya was sitting in a white pickup truck parked at the above location when a suspect fatally shot him and then fled the scene, possibly in a black Monte Carlo.
