Lince and another male burglarized several vehicles and then stole a vehicle in the 600 block of Duff Lane. A neighbor was awakened and followed the suspects

Several neighbors who had been victimized went to a gas station at the above address, where the suspects had stopped, and confronted them. During the confrontation, one of the neighbors feared for his life and discharged his firearm, striking Lince. The truck then struck a concrete pillar under the North Freeway overpass and Lince was ejected. He was transported to the hospital in serious conditiion. The second suspect abandoned the stolen pickup truck he was driving and remains at large.
The shooting of Lince will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
