January 28, 2012 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 5000 South Lake Houston Parkway (F.M. 526) about 9:15 p.m. on Sunday (Jan. 27).

The male victim, 40, of Goodrich, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant C. Nickerson and Officer T. Hines reported:

The victim was operating a blue Yamaha motorcycle when he attempted to pass another vehicle and enter the entrance ramp to westbound U.S. Highway 90.  The victim was ejected from the motorcycle when it struck a curb.

No other vehicles or individuals were involved in this accident.
