January 24, 2012 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a woman found in the 8900 block of Harrell about 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday (Jan. 23).  

The identity of the victim, 50, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Simmons and Senior Police Officer B. Oxspring reported:  

The victim was found unresponsive and lying in the street by a witness.  HFD paramedics were called to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.  

The investigation is pending the woman's cause of death.
