January 14, 2012 - Houston police are investgating a fatal auto-pedestrian traffic accident in the 10000 block of Mesa Road about 10:35 p.m. on Sunday (Jan. 13). 

The victim, Nathaniel Freeman, 64, of Houston, was transported to Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant S. Sorge and Officer T. Hines reported: 

Mr. Freeman attempted to walk across Mesa Road where there was no cross walk when he was struck by a gray Toyota pickup truck.  The driver of the Toyota fled the scene without rendering assistance to the victim.
