February 18, 2012 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a woman found at 12101 Fondren about 6:50 a.m. on Saturday (Feb. 16).

The identity and cause of death of the victim, 68, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Williams and Officer J. Horn reported:

The victim's neighbor called 9-1-1 after a family member of the victim found her unresponsive in her apartment. HFD paramedics arrived and pronounced the victim dead. HPD homicide investigators were then called to the scene.

The investigation is pending the victim's cause of death.
