December 26, 2013 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male at 7500 Pinemont about 10:30 p.m. on Sunday (Dec. 22)

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Simmons and Senior Police Officer T. Miller reported:

The victim was walking home from work when he was confronted by an unknown suspect while in his apartment complex parking lot. Witnesses told police they heard the victim say in Spanish "No Senor" (No Sir) several times before they then heard several gunshots. The victim ran to his apartment where he collapsed when his roommate opened the door. Paramedics arrived and pronounced him dead.
