December 12, 2013 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 1800 Elgin about 2:20 a.m. today.

The male victim, age unknown, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant C. Nickerson and Officer D. Henley reported:

The victim was operating a black Kawasaki motorcycle eastbound on Elgin and ran the red light at the intersection of Hamilton. The motorcycle then struck a gray Toyota Camry traveling southbound on Hamilton. The motorcyclist died at the scene. The driver of the Camry was questioned and released at the scene.
