December 9, 2013 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 4300 Lake Houston Parkway about 5:40 p.m. on Sunday (Dec. 8).

The male victim, 70, was transported to Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant B. Rogers and Officer B. Mark reported:

The victim was driving a white Ford F-150 pickup truck eastbound on Northpark when he turned southbound on Lake Houston Parkway and struck a street sign. His truck then entered the northbound lanes of Lake Houston Parkway where it struck a black Ford F-150 pickup truck. The female driver of the black truck was not injured.

The preliminary investigation indicates the victim possibly suffered a medical problem that caused the accident. There are no charges in this incident.
