December 4, 2013 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run traffic accident at 1600 Waugh about 10:20 p.m. on Sunday (Dec. 1).

The female victim, 24, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where she was pronounced dead today (Dec. 4). Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Roberts and Officer L. Galvan reported:

The victim was riding a bicycle south on Waugh at the West Gray intersection when she was struck by an unknown vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene without rendering aid. Paramedics were called and transported the victim to the hospital.

At this time, there are no known witnesses or suspect(s).
