August 28, 2013 - Houston police have released a composite sketch of a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 17050 Imperial Valley about 3:10 p.m. on August 16.
The suspect is described only as a black male in his late 20s to early 30s, about 6 feet 2 inches tall with a heavy build and short hair. He has a Louisiana accent and a scar by one of his eyes or on one of his cheeks. Witnesses also said his eyes squinted a lot.
The suspect is wanted in the killing of Marcus Williams, 36.
A copy of the composite sketch of the wanted suspect is attached to this news release.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants C. Howard, J. French and Officers E. Zugner and J. Saldana reported:
Mr. Williams was home with his brother and roommate when an unknown male knocked at the door. When the residents answered the door, the suspect entered, produced a pistol, and ordered everyone to get on the ground, with the apparent intent to rob them. When Williams struggled with the suspect, several shots were fired and Williams was fatally wounded. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.
