August 7, 2013 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 5500 Calgary about 8:05 p.m. on Tuesday (Aug. 6).
The victim, Montrey Kelon White, 33, of Houston, was transported to Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant G. Whitehead and Senior Police Officer B. Nabors reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found Mr. White had sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen. HFD paramedics transported him to the hospital where he died.
Further investigation determined White may have been involved in a disturbance at a nearby location where he was shot. White then fled on foot to 5500 Calgary where he collapsed. Several witnesses gave him medical assistance and then called 9-1-1.
