August 5, 2013 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 12204 White Cap Lane about 8 p.m. on Sunday (August 4).

The identity of the male victim is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer C. Scales and Officer I. Ulloa reported:

Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots outside their residence at 12204 White Cap Lane. The victim then entered the residence at the above address and fell on the floor. The witnesses inside the residence then hid and reported hearing additional gunshots inside the residence. When the gunshots stopped, they walked into the living room where they found the victim bleeding. They then called 9-1-1 and the victim was transported by HFD Paramedics to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
