April 19, 2013 - A suspect wanted and charged in the fatal shooting of a man at 3700 Campbell Street about 12:40 p.m. last Thursday (April 11) has been arrested.
The suspect, Emanuel Joseph Babineaux (b/m, DOB: 9-24-91), was arrested on Monday (April 15) in Natchitoches, Louisiana. He is charged with murder in the 230th State District Court in the killing of Michael Deschaumes Jordan, 30, of Houston.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants J. Brooks and C. Cegielski reported:
Mr. Jordan was near the driveway of a residence at 3720 Campbell when he was shot several times. He died at the scene. The male suspect fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
A preliminary investigation developed information that identified Babineaux as the suspect in this case. Further investigation determined Babineaux was in Natchitoches and he was subsequently arrested by officers with the Natchitoches Police Department without incident. He remains in custody and is awating extradition back to Harris County.
