April 17, 2013 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 4600 block of Pardee about 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday (April 16).
The male victim, 17, died at the scene. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant I. Izaguirre and Officer R. Bymaster reported:
The driver of a white Hyundai XG300 was traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on Pardee and failed to stay in his lane. The Hyundai then struck a wooden light pole, a fence and a residence at 4606 Pardee. The victim (rear passenger) died at the scene. The front passenger was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital and is expected to survive. The driver fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
