September 10, 2012 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 10400 block of Hartsook about 4:40 a.m. on Saturday (Sept. 8).

The male victim, 76, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Shaw and Officer L. Ho reported:

The victim attempted to cross the street in the 10400 block of Hartsook and was struck by a white Chevrolet pickup truck, traveling eastbound on Hartsook.

Further investigation determined the driver had the right of way when the accident occurred.  The driver was questioned and released at the scene.
