October 4, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 1074 South Lane about 2:40 a.m. today.

Marvin Simpson Lucky, 38, suffered a gunshot wound to the lower back and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Elliott reported:

Mr. Lucky had just returned home when he was approached by an unknown suspect or suspects who then shot him. The motive for the shooting is unknown.
