November 28, 2012 - Houston police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian traffic accident at 1100 South Braeswood about 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday (Nov. 28).

The identity of the female victim, 43, of Houston, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Gonzales and Officer C. Long reported:

The driver of a Ford E450 passenger van was traveling southbound on Braeswood at the intersection of Holcombe when he experienced a medical condition and lost control of the vehicle.  The van then struck the front of a black Honda Accord sitting at the intersection, facing eastbound on Holcombe.  The van then continued forward, striking the victim and  a traffic signal pole.  The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is continuing.
