November 27, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 2100 Hailey about 8:05 p.m. on Monday (Nov. 26). 

The victim, Kelvin Mullins, 48, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Torres and Officer D. Fontenot reported: 

Mr. Mullins was on the street outside of a convenience store at the above address when he was approached by an unknown male suspect.  At some point, Mullins was shot and and collapsed near his vehicle. 

The suspect is described only as a black male.
