November 13, 2012 - Houston police homicide investigators have released additional photos of a male wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a woman at 8520 Pitner about 11 a.m. on Thursday (Nov. 8). 

The suspect is described only as a Hispanic male, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a slender build. 

A new photo of the suspect is attached.  He is believed to have been driving a tan Chevrolet Trailblazer, and wearing a Nike Air Jumbo Jumper hoodie and Jordan shorts.  Photos of similar clothing items are also attached.   Surveillance video of the male is posted on the HPD YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJ2TY1L4QhI&feature=plcp. 

The victim, Vanessa Rodriguez, 23, of the above address, suffered several gunshot wounds and was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where she was pronounced dead. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Meeler and Senior Police Officer J. Villareal reported: 

HPD patrol officers responded to the above address after Ms. Rodriguez called 9-1-1 and reported she had been shot.  Officers arrived and found Rodriguez on the floor of her apartment.  She was then transported to the hospital where she died.  Rodriguez's one-year-old child was found unharmed inside the apartment.
