November 13, 2012 -  Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 12800 block of Memorial Drive about 12:30 a.m. on Monday (Nov. 12).

The identity of the male victim, 64, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division C. Nickerson and Officer L. Galvan reported:
The victim was driving a red Jeep Cherokee westbound on Memorial Drive when he failed to control his speed and struck a signal light pole.  He was not wearing his seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
