November 13, 2012 -  The fatal shooting of a man at 5734 Reed Road about 12:45 p.m. on Sunday (Nov. 11) will be referred to a Harris County Grand Jury.

The victim, Jaque Fields, 18, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. McStravick and Senior Police Officer P. Vela reported:
Mr. Fields and another male were sitting on the front porch at the above address comparing their pistols when the victim requested to look at the other male's pistol.  As the other male handed the victim the pistol, the victim grasped the pistol and the weapon fired, fatally striking the victim.
