November 5, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the death of a woman found at 425 North Sam Houston Parkway East about 3:55 p.m. last Friday (Nov. 2). 

The identity of the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  It appeared she had been assaulted. 

HPD Homicide Division Officers M. Chaney and I. Ulloa reported: 
On the afternoon of Nov. 1, the victim and a male checked into a hotel at the above address.  Both were seen together by hotel staff the rest of the evening.  According to witness statements, the couple was also seen arguing. 

About 5:45 a.m. on Nov. 2, the male checked out of the hotel.  When hotel staff then went to check the room to prepare it for more guests, the victim was found lying on the floor inside the room.  Hotel staff left, returned several hours later and found the victim still lying on the floor.  Hotel staff then checked on the victim and found she was deceased.
